BESPOKE: 2011 Mercedes Benz Winter FALL
The fashion took place from the 10th to the 17th of February and what was interesting about the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week was that they took a step further by having broadcasts of the fashion shows via the interweb on Youtube. So this meant that I had front row access to the fashion shows from the comfort of my couch and the best thing is that I could choose which show I wanted to attend.
This is a show by G-STAR RAW at the fashion Week

FEATURE: Q&A WITH ARTHUR SIBANYONI MR SOUTH AFRICA FINALIST
KLM: CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING THIS FAR IN THE COMPETITION, TELL US A BIT ABOUT ARTHUR
AS: I always find that question difficult to answer Arthur is a loving and kind and enjoys being surrounded by people, a very social person, I love challenges as I get bored very quickly, my life is all about decisions that will make my life easy and make me happy.
KLM: WHAT MADE YOU ENTER THIS CONTEST?
AS: honestly I found out by chance I didn’t even know there was such a competition around I found out by chance and I thought I should give it a try and see how far I would get and here I am.
KLM: FOR THOSE LIKE ME WHO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT MR SA HOW DOES ONE PREPARE FOR A PAGEANT OF THIS CALIBRE?
AS: It stars in believing in yourself, you have to be mentally prepared, you have to believe in yourself, you also have to be thick skinned as people criticize a lot.
KLM: KAIZEN MAG IS A LIFESTYLE BLOGAZINE. JUST TELL US ABOUT YOUR PERSONAL STYLE?
AS: I suck when it comes to that department, but I am fashion conscious I do try to look represent able fortunately I have three sisters who are very helpful I also try to look after my skin, I cleanse and tone before bed which I think every man does.
KLM: WHAT IS YOUR OPINION OF LOCAL FASHION AND WHERE IS IT LACKING?
AS: with what I have seen south Africa has got talent and a lot of local people dress well, designers are very creative it only lacks when it comes to fact that most our local designers are not internationally recognized we just need to work hard in that department.
KLM: HOW ARE YOU DEALING WITH THE ATTENTION FROM THE LADIES OF WHICH I'M SURE IS GETTING HECTIC?
AS:it’s very overwhelming I sometimes feel like a celebrity yesterday I went to buy veggies and was recognized by these two people I don’t know It takes time getting used to but besides that nothing out of the ordinary. its exiting to be honest
KLM: IN YOU OPINION ARE PEGEANTS LIKE THESE STILL RELEAVANT?
AS: They are relevant because out of these competions you get leaders and people come out differently out of these pageants and without these opportunities a lot of people would not be where they are, these pageants should be promoted more as they empower the youth.
LETS TALK ABOUT ARTHUR’S FAVOURITE THINGS
LOCAL DESIGNER? David Tlale
CAR? The car I am currently driving, a Honda civic
HANG OUT SPOT? Cedar square
